Design can inform, inspire and motivate. It can take a complex idea and make it easily understood. It can create an emotional connection. It’s a way to tell a story. Solving problems and communicating with others has always drawn me to design. I enjoy the challenge of working with clients to create powerful and appropriate messages for their brand or product whether it’s through a logo, web site, annual report, brochure or any other printed or online communication. I discovered early on that I love reaching people through images, words or a combination of the two. I was raised in a family where being creative was the norm and coupling it with business sense was logical. As an undergrad at the University of Georgia, I studied journalism, Spanish and photojournalism. When I discovered that my skills and interests could be combined in one profession, I returned to graduate school for graphic design, first in South America on a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship and then at Portfolio Center in Atlanta. Through the years, I've gained experience in design firms and through freelancing. Most recently, I worked as a designer at see see eye in Atlanta and previously had interned at New York’s Pentagram and Atlanta’s Unboundary. Recognition includes work featured in CMYK and Print.
